From our Liverpool showroom, our small, dedicated team blends traditional bench techniques with modern design and technology.

Each design is meticulously considered, from first sketch to final polish, so every setting, curve and cut feels timeless, never conventional.

Whether crafting bespoke commissions or evolving our signature collections, our focus is the same: to create pieces that carry meaning, made to be worn and admired for a lifetime.

How it all started

In 1989, age 16, Paul began on the bench at Jewellery by Design (formerly Shelbourne & Evans) on Merseyside, where his love of jewellery took root and he learned how a simple idea becomes an heirloom. In 1996 he moved to the South Coast and shifted to front-of-house, bringing craft knowledge to the shop floor and seeing how jewellery speaks to people and creates lasting memories.

After seven years in Brighton, he returned to Liverpool and spent 20 years at Boodles, rising from sales assistant to Showroom Manager for the last 12. There he met his future wife, Jo, who joined in 2010 after studying Event Management at the University of Manchester. She built enduring client relationships and delivered numerous events. Twelve years and two daughters later, they were ready for a new chapter.

Paul and Jo opened Paul Holmes Fine Jewellery at Walker House on 10 May 2023.
